FBI Hides Proof of Trump's Ties to Kremlin - US Senate Democratic Leader

(DNVN)-Đây là nhận định của Thượng nghị sĩ Harry Reid, lãnh đạo Đảng Dân chủ tại Thượng viện Mỹ được viết trong thư gửi cho Giám đốc Cục Điều tra Liên bang (FBI) hôm 30/10.
Trong thư gửi Giám đốc Cục Điều tra Liên bang (FBI) James Comey hôm 30/10, Thượng nghị sĩ Harry Reid, lãnh đạo Đảng Dân chủ tại Thượng viện Mỹ cáo buộc FBi đã che giấu thông tin về mối quan hệ giữa ứng viên tổng thống Mỹ của đảng Cộng hòa Donald Trump với chính phủ Nga. 
Theo ông Reid, Giám đốc Comey đã vội vàng thông báo cho quốc hội Mỹ thông tin về cuộc điều tra ngay bà Hillary Clinton khi phát hiện số email mới. Trong khi đó, ông này lại im lặng về mối quan hệ giữa ứng cử viên tổng thống đảng Cộng hòa Donald Trump với Điện Kremlin thời gian qua.
Ông Reid tiết lộ rằng, ông đã viết thư cho ông Comey kêu gọi công khai thông tin về mối liên hệ nói trên của tỉ phú Trump nhưng giám đốc FBI đã bỏ ngoài tai yêu cầu này.
Thượng nghị sĩ Reid tin rằng, sự thiên vị ứng viên đảng Cộng hòa Trump của giám đốc FBI có thể đã vi phạm Đạo luật Hatch. Luật này cấm hầu hết nhân viên liên bang tham gia vào các hoạt động chính trị đảng phái.


His statement came amid the controversy caused by Comey's Friday letter to the US Congress, informing its members that the bureau had found additional emails relevant to its investigation into the Democratic Party presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s use, as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013, of a private email server. 
"… it has become clear that you possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisors and the Russian government…. You continue to resist calls to inform public of this critical information," Reid said. Reid added that he asked for the information to be made public "months ago". 
On October 7, the US government formally accused Russia of trying to meddle with the results of the US presidential elections. 
Russian top officials have denied the allegations, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, who said on October 27 that Russia did not have a favorite in the US presidential race but would cooperate with whoever wins the election and slammed the attempts to link Trump to Russia as a "simple means of political struggle, and a method of manipulating public opinion" on the eve of the election. The US presidential elections will take place on November 8.
