India Muslim woman 'raped for eating beef'

(DNVN)-Một phụ nữ Ấn Độ đã bị một nhóm hiếp dân ở bang Haryana, phía Bắc Ấn Độ sau khi những kẻ tấn công cáo buộc công ăn thịt bò bởi cô là người Hồi giáo. 
Người phụ nữ 20 tuổi tiết lộ với báo giới rằng, 4 người đàn ông đã hiếp dâm cô một cách tàn bạo. Những tên này cũng hiếp dâm 1 người em họ 14 tuổi của công cách đây 2 tuần, ngay cả khi họ bác tin ăn thịt bò. 
Nạn nhân cho biết, những kẻ này cũng đánh đập em họ cô đến chết tại nhà họ ở Mewat, khu vực có đông người Hồi giáo sinh sống. 
Theo BBC, các nghi phạm đã bị bắt giữ và bị cáo buộc hiếp dâm và giết người. 
Mặc dù vụ việc nghiêm trọng này diễn ra cách đây 2 tuần nhưng thông tin về vụ việc mới được tiết lộ. 
"Họ nói rằng chúng toi ăn thịt bò và đó là lý do vì sao chúng tôi bị hiếp dâm. Thậm chí chúng còn dọa giết tôi và gia đình tôi nếu chúng tôi nói cho bất cứ ai biết sự việc này", nữ nạn nhân tiết lộ với BBC.

People [Hindus and Muslims] have always lived in peace in this area. The people who are responsible for this incident will be punished and it doesn't matter which community they belong to," BJP leader Chaudhary Aurangzeb told reporters.Rape and gender crimes have been in the spotlight in India in recent years after the brutal gang rape and murder of a student in 2012 in Delhi.In response, tough new anti-rape laws were introduced in the country.However, brutal sexual attacks against women and children continue to be reported across the country.
