PM Pham Minh Chinh meets with the Parliament Speaker of Singapore
HCM City is urged to intensify its anti-corruption efforts / State budget collection nearly reaches annual goal
The event was held as part of the Vietnamese Prime Minister's ongoing official visit to the city-state.
The two leaders expressed their delight at the rapid and broad development of their countries' relations, including the flourishing cooperation between the two legislative bodies.
They concurred on the need to increase collaboration and experience sharing in institutional building in order to promote mutual understanding and communication between the two peoples, particularly among the younger generations.

Prime Minister Chinh requested Singapore's continued support for Vietnam in areas where Singapore excels, including the digital economy, digital transformation, innovation, startups, development of technology incubators, and education - training. In addition, he requested that Singapore create favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community in the nation.
Speaker Tan praised the decisiveness and vision of Vietnamese leaders during the national development process and the promotion of new fields such as clean energy and sustainable development.
He reaffirmed that the Parliament of Singapore will support the programmes and agreements that the two Governments are putting into effect in every way. During the meeting, regional and international issues of mutual concern were also discussed.
Vietnam, according to the host nation's leader, plays a crucial role in maintaining the cohesion and advancing the centrality of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
He agreed that the legislatures of the two nations will maintain close cooperation at the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF), and other parliamentary organisations, thereby helping to maintain ASEAN's solidarity and common stance on strategic issues related to regional peace and stability, such as the East Sea issue.
