Putin: Russia has data on new provocations planned against Syrian authorities
The Arabic language al-Watan daily quoted a well-informed Palestinian source as saying that a few days after the commander of al-Qara'ein group was killed, the Al-Nusra called on the Syrian army via some mediators to pave the ground for implementation of an old agreement to evacuate fighters from the al-Yarmouk camp.
The daily further added the army has announced that it will study Al-Nusra's demand provided that their evacuation will be done based on a new agreement.
The source told al-Watan that those who intend to stay in the camp must hand over their arms and apply for government amnesty.
The paper said that the call for retreat has only been raised by the Al-Nusra, and not ISIL.
In November, the Syrian government gave a last ultimatum to the ISIL and Al-Nusra terrorists to leave Yarmouk or wait for the army's crushing attack.
The AMN website reported that the Syrian government had in early November given a month to the two terrorist groups to leave the camp, but after their refusal launched mortar and missile attacks against them as a warning.
ISIL controls nearly 80 percent of Yarmouk camp and al-Nusra Front is in charge of the remaining 20 percent.
Al-Nusra Front is trapped in the siege of ISIL and both of the terrorist groups are trapped in the circle of Syrian government forces.
