UAE warns citizens not to wear traditional clothes abroad

UAE yêu cầu công dân không mặc "quần dài áo rộng" do sợ bị nhầm với IS
(DNVN)-Sau vụ một doanh nhân bị bắt ở Mỹ vì tình nghi là IS, Các tiểu Vương quốc Ả Rập Thống nhất (UAE) đã lên tiếng kêu gọi công dân này không nên mặc các bộ quần áo truyền thống trong khi ra nước ngoài. 
Lo ngại bị nhầm là các thành viên của nhóm khủng bố thuộc Tổ chức Nhà nước Hồi giáo (IS) tự xưng, Các tiểu Vương quốc Ả Rập Thống nhất (UAE) đã lên tiếng kêu gọi công dân này không nên mặc các bộ quần áo truyền thống trong khi ra nước ngoài. 
"Đối với những công dân di chuyển ra khỏi quốc gia, và để đảm bảo an toàn, chúng tôi yêu cầu không mặc quốc phục chính thức trong khi di chuyển, đặc biệt tại những nơi công cộng", Bộ Ngoại giao UAE thông báo trên tài khoản Twitter.
Thông báo trên đưa ra sau khi xảy ra vụ bắt giữ một doanh nhân tại Avon, bang Ohio (Mỹ). Doanh nhân này đã bị một nhân viên khách sạn nhầm với IS do ông mặc quần áo truyền thống. 
Nhân viên khách sạn Fairfiel Inn đã gọi tới số điện thoại khẩn cấp 911, thông báo cô nhìn thấy một người đàn ông có liên hệ tới IS, Reuters dẫn báo tiếng Ảrập al-Bayan.
After hearing the man, wearing a long white robe and headscarf, speaking Arabic on his cell phone, the female employee called 911.
The businessman was arrested following a violent scuffle with the police, who released him after understanding the situation.
A separate message was also tweeted warning UAE nationals to “abide by the ban of burqa (the veil) applied in some European countries and cities, which prohibits the wearing of the veil in public institutions and places.”

Europe is facing an unprecedented influx of refugees, most of whom are fleeing conflict zones in Africa and the Middle East, particularly Syria.
Many blame major European powers for the unprecedented exodus, saying their policies have led to a surge in terrorism and war in the violence-hit regions, forcing more people out of their homes.
