Vietnamese agricultural exports reach $1 billion in value

According to Dao Duy Tam, deputy head of the Customs Control and Supervision Department under the General Department of Customs, the products included coffee, rubber, cashew nuts, vegetables and fruit, rice, tra fish (pangasius), shrimp, wood products, and materials used in the production process.

Vietnam has earned a total of 201 billion USD from exports this year, showing an increase of 17.3 percent year-over-year, with nearly 28 billion USD coming from agriculture, an increase of 13.9%.
Tam stated that the streamlined customs procedures have facilitated exports, especially of agro-fishery products, and that up to 80 percent of agricultural products have passed through the "green zone" established to expedite customs clearance procedures.
