In order to meet significant distributors abroad, the department has assisted exporters in traveling with trade promotion delegations to nations such as Turkey, Israel, South Africa, India, Pakistan, and Japan.

The official added that a number of workshops on cross-border e-commerce will be held in early August to support the export of coconut products. Local businesses have also been given assistance to ship their goods to China.

Simultaneously, the department has assisted local businesses and the coconut sector in general in promoting domestic consumption, and has provided the People's Committee with investment attraction advice.

Ben Tre has 77,000 hectares of coconuts, and exports of coconuts bring in 350 million USD annually, or about 30% of its total export earnings. Farmers were urged by the local agricultural sector to increase organic coconut farming, which currently occupies only 20.7% of the total area, and join cooperatives to create expansive material areas.
