Industrial production index for 7 months increased by 11.2%
DNVN - According to the General Statistics Office, the index of industrial production (IIP) in July was estimated to have increased by 1.6% over the previous month and by 11.2% over the same period last year.
The increase was due to the continued reopening of the economy following COVID-19 disruptions.

Growth accelerated for the majority of components, including manufacturing (12.8% versus 9.9% in June), electricity and gas supply (8.7% versus 5.5% in June), and waste treatment (9.2 percent against 6.3 percent in June).
In contrast, mining output decreased by 1.5%, reversing a 5.1% increase in June.
