Nguyen Thi Van Ha, VASEP expert, claimed that French consumers prioritized tuna because it can take the place of white-meat fish.

Frozen tuna meat products coded HS0304 remain Vietnam's main exports to this market, accounting for 63 percent of total value.

Vietnam is currently the fourteenth largest non-European supplier of tuna to the French market. Tuna imports into France have recovered and this European country has increased its imports of tuna from Asia.
