Vietnamese and Egyptian firms seek to expand commercial ties

DNVN - On September 8, a workshop aimed at fostering commercial ties between Vietnamese and Egyptian businesses was held in Cairo, attracting experts in agricultural products, seafood, construction materials, household plastic, paper, packaging, and fertilizer.

Ambassador Nguyen Huy Dung stated that there is great potential for enterprises on both sides to expand their cooperation, recommending that they work closely to elevate bilateral trade. He emphasized the importance of enhancing the exchange of market information between the business communities of the two nations, stating that the embassy is always willing to create all favorable conditions for the connection of information between Vietnamese and Egyptian companies.

Egyptian business representatives expressed interest in Vietnam's agricultural and seafood products in particular and a desire to promote business opportunities with Vietnamese partners. Similarly, Vietnamese businesses have high hopes for business cooperation opportunities with their Egyptian counterparts.

The Egyptian side has expressed a willingness to assist Vietnamese businesses in locating investment and business opportunities on the Egyptian market by strengthening ties between the two nations' business communities.

Prior to this, a working delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Vietnamese businesses met with the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce to learn about mechanisms and policies related to import and export, and to share information regarding the requirements of the two markets.
