HCM City Export Furniture Fair to take place this month

DNVN - The Ho Chi Minh City Export Furniture Fair (HawaExpo) 2023 is scheduled for February 22 to 25, kicking off a series of trade promotion events in the wood industry this year.

The fair will be organised by the Vietnam Timber and Forest Product Association (VIFOREST) and the wood industry organisations of some localities strong in this sector, including HCM City and the provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Binh Dinh, according to a press briefing held on February 9 by Nguyen Quoc Khanh, chairman of the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of HCM City (HAWA).

He added that it will be an important event for industry-wide trade promotion cooperation and is anticipated to produce fruitful results for trade and investment partnerships.

With approximately 1,600 booths, HawaExpo 2023 will bring together Vietnam's leading manufacturers and exporters. It has also received nearly a thousand visit registrations from partners in traditional export markets, such as the United States and Europe, as well as new export markets, such as the Middle East and India.

Khanh stated that in addition to displaying and introducing products, the fair will feature business matching events, factory tours, and specialised workshops to help businesses and partners stay current on market information and production capacity in order to strengthen relationships. HawaExpo 2023 will also be a demonstration of the wood sector's determination to move up the value chain, according to the HAWA leader.
