Vietnam and Lao courts enhance cooperation

The Lao official informed the hosts that the Lao delegation and the High-level Court in Da Nang had productive discussions on administrative trials during the morning session.

Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang stated that the visit of the Supreme People's Court of Laos not only strengthened cooperation and ties between the two court sectors, but also facilitated the exchange of more adjudication expertise. In particular, the Lao Party and State are actively reforming the operation of courts at all levels.

He stated that Da Nang always prioritizes and promotes the long-standing traditional relationship between the two two nations, and he expressed his hope for a closer relationship between the courts of the two nations, as well as the High-level Court in Da Nang and the Lao court.

The Lao official remarked with delight on the city of Da Nang's fondness for the delegation and the robust cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.

He stated that 2022 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Laos-Vietnam Treaty of Amity and Cooperation, and that the two Parties, Governments, and people will hold a number of events to mark the anniversaries.
