Vietnam and Thailand seek closer industrial partnership

Suriya concurred with the ambassador of Vietnam that it is time to promote bilateral cooperation in the industry. Vietnam is a bright spot for attracting foreign investment, he said, because of its favorable investment climate, low labor costs, and skilled workforce.

The development of the electric vehicle industry is a priority for Thailand's bio-circular-green economic (BCG) model, he said, adding that this is a potential area of cooperation between the two nations. He promised to foster favorable conditions for Vietnamese firms operating in Thailand. The Thai official also expressed his hope for future support from the Vietnamese Embassy in order to strengthen cooperation between the Thai and Vietnamese ministries of industry.
