It was one of the highlights of a report released on July 14 by the Ministry of Information and Communications. In June, the post, telecommunications, and information technology (IT) industries accomplished remarkable feats. Among them were the organization of the Vietnam Stamp Exhibition 2020 (Vietstampex 2020), the country's largest exhibition of its kind, a symposium on 'The Future of the Internet,' and the international seminar-exhibition Vietnam Security Summit 2022.

Meanwhile, IT industry revenue in June was estimated at 12.2 billion USD, up 30 percent year-over-year, with hardware and electronics export turnover reaching approximately 9.5 million USD, up 28% over the same period in 2021. The month also saw the launch of the Make-in-Vietnam Digital Products Award 2022, which aims to encourage, promote, and recognize outstanding Vietnamese technology products.

Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung highlighted the launch of a digital museum, the shutdown of the 2G network, and the holding of frequency auctions in the final six months of the year when directing the sector's operations in the future.
