Italy wants to share experiences of small and medium enterprises management with Vietnam
According to Mr. Enzo, the Italian business community is characterized largely by small and medium-sized enterprises, even ultra-small.
With this characteristic, sometimes, Italian businesses lack competition in the international market. However, for Italy, this is an advantage because small and medium enterprises have the dynamism, high creativity as well as strong cooperation with other businesses.
Therefore, the small and medium-sized business community is Italy's strength with great entrepreneurship. Italy is happy to exchange experiences and knowledge of small and medium-sized business management with Vietnam.
Mr. Enzo said that Vietnam is also a country based on the strength of small and medium enterprises, considering small and medium enterprises as a factor to ensure balanced development in society, not rely too much on multinational companies, large businesses which tend to crush other businesses.
Agree with the proposal of Minister Enzo, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said that 97% of Vietnam's business community is small and medium enterprises.
Based on similarities and mutual support, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and Minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi said that Vietnam and Italy could strengthen cooperation in the fields of industrial production, mechanical engineering, high technology, infrastructure construction, especially automatic accuracy.
In June, Italy and Vietnam will jointly organize the 3rd "High-level dialogue on Italian-ASEAN economic relations" in Hanoi, bringing together large enterprises of Italy and ASEAN. National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan highly appreciated this initiative, saying that this is a great opportunity for the two sides to promote cooperation in the context that Vietnam is Italy's largest trading partner in ASEAN.
Minister Enzo stressed that Italy is very interested and expects the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) to be approved soon. As one of the 6 founding countries of the EU, Italy pledged to support Vietnam in the process of negotiating, signing and ratifying EVFTA.
Thanks to the support of Italy, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan affirmed that Vietnam is also very interested in EVFTA for the benefit of both Vietnam and EU member countries, including Italy; hope that Italy will continue to have a voice to support EVFTA, and propose to the European Parliament (EP) to transfer the approval of EVFTA to the new administration, and the new EP will give priority to EVFTA approval into their agenda for 2019. The National Assembly of Vietnam is about to meet at the end of this May and will consider approving the International Labor Organization's Convention 98 (ILO) as well as considering the completion of its legal system in responding to international integration requirements, implementing Vietnam's international commitments.
