VINASME discussed about "night-time economy" for the first time

In order for the 12th Cooperation - Connection and Business Development Forum 2019 to achieve the highest results, The organizing committee had a meeting on December 17, 2019 with delegation leaders to finalize the final stage of content, logistics, subcommittees and other issues for the Forum. Chairman of Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (VINASME) Nguyen Van Than and Vice Chairman cum General Secretary To Hoai Nam host the meeting.

The meeting informed the main contents of the Forum, including the number of Presidium members, logistics and list of main programs. The meeting also discussed the selection of host unit for the Forum in 2020 and rotation of flag to the host unit for the 13th Conference.

According to VINASME, the Forum will hear different opinions from Vietnamese ministries, departments and US Government on how to boost the capability of Vietnamese SMEs. The forum also hears a brief introduction on potential investment areas in Phu Tho province and presentations of member associations. Participants will eventually be given chances to discuss and vote for the Forum's Resolution.

Importantly, the meeting discussed about "night-time economy", which is the new point that was mentioned by VINASME for the first time. The meeting also warmly welcome representatives of USAID for supporting the Government of Vietnam to address the Forum, an important component of their current project that will fund for associations in capacity building legislation.

By the afternoon of December 17, 2019, presentation papers across many areas have been ready for the Forum. More than 450 delegates are expected to attend the official session of the Forum, which will take place from 8pm to 12pm on December 18, 2019. The forum has attracted the attention of more than 30 media agencies to attend and report.

The forum was organized with the goal of "Strengthening the leading role of government authorities in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in sustainable development". It will focus on removing barriers and difficulties in implementing the SMEs Support Law, solving problems of enterprises in production - business; improving conditions for enterprises to explore the domestic market, connecting the supply and demand of goods between production and distribution enterprises, and creating linkages between large economic groups and SMEs...
